Classic V4 - I'm currently using BlueNote Classic. What is the difference between it and BlueNote Lights?
The biggest change that was made when BlueNote Lights was introduced in 2013 was to get away from the idea that all actions had to be posted to a Location. BlueNote Classic requires you to post a BlueNote inside a Location. With BlueNote Lights, the Light often already contains all the information needed and is in a fixed position. Once it is active, it changes color, based on how long a Light has been active, reducing the need to compare the time elapsed on each notification.
Another important distinction is that BlueNote Classic relies on a System Manager, while BlueNote Lights is completely serverless. With Classic, if the System Manager is offline, so is the entire office. This is never an issue with the newer platform.

Posting BlueNotes
The video below shows a few workflow comparisons between BlueNote Classic and BlueNote Lights (Version 7) . We've actually programmed the Lights to emulate the Classic program by assigning them as Locations in this instance, but remember that they are very much free-form in that you can use a Light for pretty much any command in a single click.
Messaging Individual Computers
The "Type a Message" direct messaging has been replaced with Conversations. These threads flow more like live email than the previous version, with a list of online users in place of the "Recipients" list that exists in BlueNote Classic. A message can be sent to individuals, or select multiple users from the list, and all users will be included in that thread and all replies, similar to the function of CC: in email.
