SideNotesIM - Firewall Exceptions
In most cases you will not need to make any changes. However, if you are prompted by your Firewall, Antivirus or anti-malware software, you will need to allow or unblock SideNotesIM.
If you are having problems with SideNotesIM receiving messages sporadically or users dropping out of the active users list, verify that you only have one entry of SideNotesIM in the exceptions list and that it is selected for all networks.
If you continue to have problems, you will need to remove SideNotesIM from the allowed list and let Windows add it back automatically after restarting SideNotesIM.
